Bob Caldwell has more than 30 years' experience editing documentaries across Ireland, the UK and the US. He won the IFTA for Best Editor in 2018 for American Heroes Channel's Pearl Harbor – The Heroes Who Fought Back, and two Emmys for NBC's Olympic coverage.
His films include The Graceless Age, Best Irish Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh and the Audience Award for Best Feature at the IFI Documentary Festival in Dublin, both in 2023; Girl, Taken, best South African feature documentary 2022, now on Paramount+; the IFTA-winning series In Search of the Pope's Children and Freefall; the BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 film The F**king Fulfords; and Saviours, one of The Irish Times' top 50 films of all time.
Recent credits include Swindlers and The Case I Can't Forget: Chasing the General for RTÉ, and Remnant, a short for Metropolitan Films premiering soon. Through Rocky Valley he has produced three documentaries for Golf Channel and Sky Sports, and he lectures part-time at IADT, the national film school.

A new feature documentary following several Kherson residents as the city and their lives are torn apart in the aftermath of occupation, in a city still under siege.
Bob cuts from his own edit suite in a converted stone cowshed in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, a short drive from Dublin.
The suite runs on a super-fast Mac, cutting in Premiere Pro and Avid, with colour correction in DaVinci Resolve. With fibre broadband, we're set up for remote editing.
On a recent shark documentary the production and post company were in Belfast, the producer in London, the director in Cape Town and the editor in Co. Wicklow. The whole edit ran remotely.
From ingesting the rushes in whichever edit system suits the job, through to finishing in DaVinci Resolve and delivering the final masters.
We cut wherever the project needs us: remotely from anywhere in the world, in our converted cowshed in Wicklow, or plugged into edit suites at post houses and broadcasters. Graphics and audio are handled by trusted external partners.
